Based in South Lanarkshire, EnviroGlaze Specialized Window Systems Limited provides secondary glazing, windows, doors, double and triple glazing services and installation in Scotland, England and Ireland.
The company use the latest products and techniques to create bespoke aluminium secondary glazing, ensuring thermal insulation, noise reduction and varying levels of window security.
Why did EnviroGlaze Specialized Window Systems decide to gain the PAS 2030 standard?
As the business looked to expand and bid for larger contracts, they were aware that the PAS 2030 standard was an essential part of their long-term plans.
As the recognised industry specification, it is crucial for achieving net zero targets and decarbonising the built environment, verifying that installers are competent in delivering installations according to the standard’s specifications.
We spoke with Scott Neilson, a member of the EnviroGlaze Specialized Window Systems Technical Support Team and found out more about the project.  Scott commented, ‘Our business prides itself on excellent customer satisfaction, making sure from an initial enquiry to the end of an installation, we provide first class-service. As the business looked to expand in the energy efficiency market and provide customers with a trusted and accredited service, after careful research we decided that gaining the PAS 2030 standard would give us credibility and demonstrate our commitment to quality and sustainability.
As we continued to bid for larger tenders, gaining the standard was the next step in our plans.’
The process
Discussing how the process worked, Scott continued, ‘Following our decision to progress with the PAS 2030 standard, we researched consultants who could support us on the project, carrying out our due diligence and speaking with several firms.
The team at Brighter Compliance put us at ease from our first conversation, they were helpful and explained how the process would work and the input which would be needed from ourselves, this made the whole project very easy from day one.’
Compliance Consultant, David Stobbs, from the Brighter team was instrumental in working with EnviroGlaze Specialized Window Systems during the project. Commenting on David’s input, Scott continued, ‘David was excellent throughout the process, he put our whole team at ease and ensured that prior to our audit, we had all of our ducks in a row with regards to policies and procedures. Whenever we had a query or question, David or another member of the Brighter team were on hand to advise and support us which really took the pressure off us.’
The outcome
Following their recent audit, EnviroGlaze Specialized Window Systems were delighted to gain the PAS 2030 certification.
Speaking about their success, Scott said, ‘We’re delighted with the result and know that by gaining the standard, it will put the business in a strong position to move forward with our growth plans. When individuals are applying for Warmer Homes Scotland grants, our PAS 2030 standard will be a unique selling point for us and a huge advantage.
