Elite Services Group successfully achieve PAS 2030 certification with support from Brighter Compliance.

Why did Elite Services Group decide to invest in the PAS standard?
As the business investigated opportunities within the renewable energy and sustainability industry, the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) was a programme which they knew would be of benefit to the business and their customers.
The fund, which aims to upgrade a significant amount of social housing stock currently below Energy Performance Certificate band C, requires a business to be PAS 2030 certified, therefore this was an obvious
starting point for Elite Services Group.
Speaking with the company’s Operations Manager, Lyndsey Banks, we asked her opinion on gaining the nationally recognised standard, ‘As a business committed to providing the best sustainability and energy efficiency solutions for our customers, we knew that gaining the PAS 2030 certification would not only enable us to bid for tenders with local authorities and housing associations but would also provide us with a great competitor advantage.’
The Process
Lyndsey continued, ‘When initially investigating the certification, we quickly realised that we would need specialist support to guide us through the process. Having discovered Brighter Compliance via an online search, we spoke with David Stobbs, their experienced SHEQ consultant, who provided us with a wealth of information on the standard itself and how the process would work.
Having enlisted the services of the Brighter team, everything came together perfectly. With the support of David and Hannah Blair (Quality Manager at Brighter), we were more than prepared for our eventual audit.’
The company decided to use Brighter’s ‘GreenHub’ software, a specialist online portal where companies can upload, organise and save all of their policies, procedures and documentation to enable a smooth and worry-free audit.
Lyndsey was delighted with the process, continuing, ‘The GreenHub software was fantastic, everything we needed was at our fingertips and with the support from David and Hannah, we were confident that we had everything in place in preparation for our audit.’
The Outcome
Following the successful audit, the team at Elite Services Group have certainly embraced the standard and have already decided to continue with the GreenHub software support on a long-term basis.
Lyndsey continued, ‘The audit process can be very dauting, however, with our preparation everything went smoothy, the hard work of our team also resulted in us receiving zero non-conformances too.
The company is definitely in a better position following the certification, we know we’re compliant and the correct documentation is in place. The Brighter team were always at the end of the phone or an email, they provided us with just the right amount of support without it impacting on our business or feeling intrusive, which is brilliant for any management team.’
We’re still learning on a day-to-day basis which is why we’ve decided to invest in the GreenHub software on an annual subscription. We know that gaining the PAS standard is the first step in an ongoing process, maintaining the standard will continue to take our commitment and dedication to the industry, however with the support from Brighter, we know we’re going in the right direction.’
